    Open access - Open access sessions run with the principle of voluntary engagement and are often the first taste of independence for our younger members. All sessions are young person led, with a range of activities on offer from sports, ICT, arts and crafts, volunteering opportunities, DJ equipment, games consoles and an onsite tuck shop available with prices ranging from 10p-£2. LYCC create a safe, informal space where young people can socialise, meet others, provide guidance and engagement opportunities. 
    Entry is 50p

  • Tuesday - 6:30pm-8:30pm
    Targeted; Peer Education / Awards Evening / Volunteer Night (all ages)

    LYCC offer young volunteers’ advice, support, and training. The Tuesday night session is a social session as much as it gives them the time and space to meet as a group, cook their own tea, and discuss issues affecting them, either personally or due to their volunteering at the centre.

    Targeted sessions also work with specific cohorts of young people/ peer groups to address the ever-changing local needs and issues especially in terms to local gun, gang and knife crime issues in relation to our Violence Reduction Partnership (VRP) funding. Staff work with children, young people and families to identify current issues and need along with partner organisations and other professionals.

  • SOUTH SEFTON FOODBANK DISTRIBUTION
    Wednesday 11am-2pm


    We are a member of South Sefton Foodbank providing a food distribution point every Wednesday with staff and 5/6 volunteers distributing food to vulnerable families and individuals from South Sefton. This session is also used to signpost individuals to other support organisations.

  • Tuesday 11:30am - 1:30pm
    Free Session

    As part of the Sefton Warm Spaces Network, LYCC provide a Warm Hub every Tuesday morning, 11:30am-1:30pm. This session is free, where residents aged 16 years plus can access a warm space, with tea / coffee / refreshments provided a light warm lunch. Along with meeting new friends, socialising and LYCC referring and signposting individuals to additional support agencies.

  • SENIOR LUNCHEON CLUB
    Fridays, 11:30am-1:30pm – ages 55 plus- £3 entry fee


    We have a regular 35/40 attending who are offered tea, coffee, bowl of soup/cob and a cake. The group enjoy chatting, chair exercises, quizzes, the odd bingo, and flower arranging – along with special guest from other local organisations. Staff also plan trips to various markets (Bury, Blackburn and Burnley) and have visited Liverpool and Southport. This session is also used to signpost individuals to other support organisations.

  • LYCC hire facilities to a range of groups, sports groups, organisations and professionals. Our facilities are perfect for a range of activities from sports, to training, community meetings. The following areas are available for hire between the hours of 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. 

    • Main community area downstairs 

    • Sports facilities such as Sports hall and outdoor astro turf pitches 

    • ICT room's 

    • Whole upstairs hire - includes ICT room, kitchen, toilets & community/ café area

    A formal hire agreement will be drafted and signed by both parties, that will clearly outline cost, hire arrangements and expectations. LYCC has a busy weekly timetable and already committed hire agreements so we may not always be able to support your request. 

    Please note: LYCC does not hire facilities for children's/ any form of parties.

  • Community Support Monday - Saturday

    A coordinated approach across all LYCC sessions in partnership with external organisations, partners and professionals such as local ward councillors, local schools, Sefton MBC. To provide emergency food relief, referrals, signposting, information and targeted projects at LYCC to meet need.
