“It’s great to see our long standing, positive partnership continuing with LYCC and we hope that this continues with our efforts to secure funding for a joint inter generation project. As a longstanding organisation LYCC were instrumental in our early work when we set up our CIC in 2013 and they have continued to provide support and guidance to the Inclusion Network CIC when we have needed it and worked in partnership with ourselves on specific projects. LYCC are a pillar of the local community providing activities for all generations and are an inspiration to organisations such as ours”.

 “LYCC provide varied services for our community, supporting individuals of all ages through an extensive weekly programme. From the facilitation of Foodbank distribution, to providing a warm hub as part of Sefton’s network, to a senior luncheon club and youth provision. LYCC have been the constant in the lives of thousands of community members and have served many generations of families within Sefton throughout their many successful years of operation. LYCC are one of Sefton’s commissioned youth providers and through this and ad-hoc funding for specific projects, Ford Ward Councillors and Sefton MBC continue to have a positive and meaningful partnership with LYCC. The sheer volume of attendance LYCC have coming through the doors for youth provision makes them unique and is proof of the vital service they provide. LYCC demonstrate daily their clear commitment to improving the lives of not only young people but the wider community. With well-structed and well managed projects, activities that align with local and national priorities targeting youth development, community cohesion and early intervention. LYCC’s presence within their community helps to create a safe, supportive environment where young people can develop and reach their potential. Sefton MBC recognises the significant contribution LYCC makes with both preventative and targeted support and consider LYCC as a trusted and significant partner within our Borough.”

·       “The centre has things on and varies for everyones age. They do lots for the community as a hole. If they had more funding im sure they would do lots more cause they are always thinking of new projects and ideas. “It was such a relief to know that the boysie was open and he could go there and stay safe on mischief night. I didn’t want him to go out with his mates but to know they were all in the boysie being supervised and being kept safe by the staff was a godsend” (This comment is in relation to the diversionary activities we facilitated during October half term and the op-Bangor period.)
